Earache in children can come on quickly and is often painful enough to disrupt sleep and school. Through the NHS Pharmacy First service our pharmacist can examine your child’s ears and supply treatment where it is needed.
The service is available for children aged 1 to 17, with no GP appointment or referral needed. We will look inside the ear, ask about symptoms and then either supply antibiotics where appropriate, recommend suitable pain relief or refer you on if further care is required. Appointments are free on the NHS and usually available the same day.
