Sinusitis causes facial pain, a blocked or runny nose and pressure around the eyes and cheeks, and it can linger for weeks. Through the NHS Pharmacy First service our pharmacist can assess your symptoms and supply treatment where it is appropriate.
The service is available for anyone aged 12 and over, with no GP appointment or referral needed. We will ask how long your symptoms have lasted and how severe they are, then supply a steroid nasal spray or antibiotics if suitable, or recommend the right over the counter option. If you need further care we will refer you.
